Known for its
discriminatory practices against women, the Saudi judicial system gives men total
control over every aspect of women’s lives, especially aspiring young women, as
described in this article. Sadly, this
is an example of how the Saudi judicial system not only denies Saudi women
their basic human rights, but reinforces their oppression at the hands of their
male relatives. What benefit does the Saudi court system find in forcing a
young woman to remain single other than to satisfy their own male chauvinism and
austere religious practice?
